      • A gap was identified on the back exit door in the OSC room.Install weather stripping on the door to eliminate the gap and prevent pest entry into the facility.

      • The facility does not have chlorine test strips. Please purchase new test strips.
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • Maximum water temperature from the sink in the OSC room measured at 50C. Please have this lowered to <49C, 43C recommended.

      • - The replacement of the damaged sleeping mats has not been done. As per the assistant director, the ordering of the new sleeping mats has been completed. The facility is currently waiting for the order to arrive.

      • - In the toddler room a bottle of bleach was on the floor in reach of children. Staff were informed and the bottle was removed.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • - Several sleeping mats throughout the program rooms are showing signs of wear. Observed tearing along the edges and seams of the mats. Please replace sleeping mats that are showing signs of wear. Sleeping mats that are in disrepair prevent the ability to properly clean and disinfect the surfaces.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • - The light in the toddler room is in a state of disrepair. Please repair the light to ensure proper functioning.
    • 25. Are there adequate storage areas sufficient for the operation of the facility?
      • - Several pieces of equipment and supplies are being stored in the infant room which is being used as a storage at the time of inspection. Items are not being stored in an organized manner to allow for adequate cleaning of the room. Please ensure the room is organized to facilitate an environment that is conducive for adequate cleaning and preventing conditions suitable for pest harborage.
