      • Single use manicure/pedicure instruments/items were not discarded after use.Corrected immediately.Please ensure single use disposable items are discarded immediately after its use and are not left around manicure and pedicure stations.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Reusable instruments were not submerged completely in the disinfectant.Corrected immediatelyDisinfectant log was not maintained - please start using the log immediately.

      • Some areas and work stations were cluttered and dusty. Used items were mixed with unused. both, reprocessing sink in the back and hand sink in the front were stained and require thorough cleaning. There was no basket available for used towels by the hand sink. Single use paper used on the waxing table was not discarded after use. Back door area was a bit cluttered and disorganized.Please ensure necessary improvements are made.

    • 15. Is reusable equipment handled and stored properly (Critical)?
      • There were some reusable instruments stored together with other non-related items in manicure stations and inside the waxing room. Please ensure clear separation between non-related items.Instruments in these areas must be cleaned and disinfected prior to its first use.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Inadequate container (cup) was used for high level disinfectant solution which doesn't allow instruments to be completely submerged - proper container must be purchased.High level disinfectant was not monitored for its efficacy - no test strips/no records of testing disinfectant were available. Pedicure chairs and manicure stations were not sanitized properly between clients (using only water to wipe the surfaces) -must use at least low level disinfectant/sanitizer (for example disinfecting wipes)
    • 27. Is the facility maintained in a visibly clean state and are environmental surfaces cleaned and disinfected properly?
      • General cleanliness of the facility was not satisfactory (dust build up and staining observed on the equipment and surfaces).Garbage was not disposed off as required - garbage bins throughout the facility were overflowing with waste and floor around the garbage bins was getting cluttered. There was a clutter in the back area which needs to be organized.

      • Reprocessing sink was dirty showing evidence of the sink being used for washing dishes. There was no dual sink cleaning procedure in place..Reprocessing sink must be cleaned and sanitized prior to next use and used for reprocessing instruments only.
