- 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
- Barbicide at two of the work stations was very light in colour and cloudy with debris. Barbicide must be diluted as per manufacturer's instructions and changed daily. Solutions were remade at the request of the PHI, and tools were disinfected again.
- 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
- Facility is offering facial waxing and eyebrow tinting and is using semi-critical tools such as tweezers and scissors. These items must be disinfected in between clients with a high-level disinfectant, such as CS20. Please see attached document on disinfectants, as well as a reuse log for high-level disinfectant. Should you wish to reuse your solution for up to 14 days vs. single usage and dispose, you must purchase the appropriate test strips and record on the log each day's results.
