    • 04. Does the operator use approved methods for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and surfaces?
      • Wiping rags were observed stored on countertops and tables. Wiping rags must be kept clean and stored in a container with sanitizer for the duration of use.
    • 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • 1. Food was observed storing on the floor of the walk-in cooler. Food in storage must be stored at least 6 inches off the ground to reduce the risk of contamination.2. The ice scoop was observed stored on top of the ice machine located at the point-of-sale area. Food utensils must be stored in a sanitary manner that protects them from contamination.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • 1. The handwash station at the entrance of the kitchen was observed without a garbage receptacle (trash can). Provide a garbage receptacle at the handwashing station.2. Leaked handwash sink was observed at the entrance of the kitchen. Conduct plumbing repair to handwash sink.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • The last pest control was conducted on November 27, 2025. No pest activities were observed, according to the report. However, Weather stripping was missing from the back entrance door. Install weather stripping to ensure a proper seal and prevent pest entry.
    • 19. Does the facility have a valid permit and does the facility operate in compliance with the conditions of that permit, or is the facility awaiting approval prior to operation?
      • The facility was operating without a valid food handling permit. The operator stated that the renewal application will be submitted on December 30, 2025.It should be noted that the operator must obtain a valid food handling permit to continue operations.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • Accumulation of dust was observed on the fan, and spills and food debris were observed on the floor of the walk-in cooler.Conduct cleaning to affected area.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • Accumulation of dust and grease was observed on the hood vent. Conduct thorough cleaning of the hood vent.
