    • 03. Are facility-specific written procedures established to adequately describe safe and sanitary practices?
      • Written procedures were completed during the inspection. Written procedures for cleansing skin have been completed for the following services: -manicure -pedicure -waxingWritten procedures for accidental skin cuts or punctures was provided to the operator at the time of inspection.Reprocessing sink will not be used for handwashing therefore written procedures for sink decontamination is not required.
    • 08. Is hand hygiene performed by the personal services worker when required, in a proper manner and are provisions available to perform hand hygiene?
      • Requested removal of expired alcohol based hand rub (ABHR) from the facility.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Old PreEmpt RTU spray bottles are being filled with PreEmpt CS20 (Medical Device Licence 103055; Exp: Sept 05, 2025). Bottles were re-labelled upon request. Ensure you label all decanted bottles and keep original/stock supplies at the facility so label verification can be achieved.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • High-level disinfectant logs (HLDL) are not being maintained. Templates were left on-site.The AHP7 indicator tests strips expire 3-months once opened. The opened container of AHP7 indicator test strips was not labelled and because HLD logs were not being maintained, it could not be determined if these test strips were effective. Requested these strips be discarded. Purchase 2 more AHP7 indicator test strips. Please label the indicator test strips with the date it was opened and the 3-month expiry date and maintain HLD as required.
