      • Facility lacked complete and updated documents for the written anti-entrapment plans. A secondary anti-entrapment device safety vacuum release system was observed.Complete and submit the written anti-entrapment plans to the public health inspector.

      • The turnover period was calculated at 18 minutes. (The hot tub volume is 400US gallons = 1.5 cubic meters.)Ensure that 100% of the water volume passes through treatment and is recirculated within 15 minutes.
    • 07. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Non-Critical)?
      • The automated system for testing pH was observed leaking in the maintenance room. Ensure that the automated system is working and maintained in good condition.
    • 14. Is the pool maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, good repair and are temperatures being properly regulated?
      • The hot tub basin paint was observed to be stripped off the surfaces. Refinish the basin and ensure it is maintained in good condition.

      • The water circulation system lacked a flow meter. Obtain and install a functioning flow meter prior to opening the pool to determine the recirculation rate that is acceptable and complies with the Pool Standard. Ensure the flow meter is installed according to the manufacturing instructions. Note (Oct 9, 2024): facility operator has provided an invoice and manual for the flow meter. Operator states the meter will be received within the next week.
    • 12. Are the general safety devices and physical conditions in this pool providing a safe environment (Critical)?
      • Hot tub lacked a secondary anti-entrapment device.Obtain and install an anti-entrapment device according to the manufacturing instructions prior to opening the hot tub.Note: Facility operator provided the invoice for the purchased device. Operator stated it will take 5-6 weeks to be delivered.
    • 17. Does the pool have adequate written policies, plans and posted rules and safety information to ensure that the pool is operating in a safe manner?
      • A "no diving" sign is not located near the whirlpool. However, depth markings were observed. Ensure that a "no diving" sign is posted on the wall near the whirlpool.Note: facility operator stated a sign has been ordered and will arrive within the next week.

    • 07. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Non-Critical)?
      • Rust like staining observed on the covers of the jet pump, skimmer, and suction outlets. Ensure that the covers are in good condition. If the covers are to be replaced, ensure they are installed according to the manufacturing instructions.
    • 07. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Non-Critical)?
      • The water circulation system lacked a flow meter. Install a flow determine the recirculation rate that is acceptable and complies with the Pool Standard.
    • 10. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this pool (Non-Critical)?
      • The circulation plumbing system did not clearly label the direction of water flow. Label the circulation direction of water flow and provide the PHI with the written plumbing schematics detailing the plumbing design of the pool and whirlpool. Including the water circulation and treatment systems, waterslides and list described in the Information to Support a Public Pool Permit Application document.
    • 14. Is the pool maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, good repair and are temperatures being properly regulated?
      • Previously noted basin condition violations were not observed. However, it was discussed that the pool basin would be refurnished. The whirlpool basin must be free from cracks, non-absorbent, easily cleanable, and non-slip.

      • 1. There are no depth markings on the deck around the whirlpool. 2. A "no diving" sign is not located near the whirlpool.1. Ensure that depth markings are located around the whirlpool deck. 2. Ensure that a "no diving" sign is posted on the wall near the whirlpool.
