What these findings mean

Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.

  • Cleaning and sanitizingHigher risk

Anything that touches food, such as cutting boards, dishes and utensils, must be washed, rinsed and sanitized. Inspectors check dishwasher temperatures, sanitizer strength and how wiping cloths are stored. Poor sanitizing lets bacteria survive from one use to the next.

Recorded 3 times on June 18, 2026. For example: Critical Improper Cleaning, Sanitizing of Equipment and Utensils

  • Building, plumbing and upkeepLower risk

Floors, walls and ceilings must be smooth and clean, with working lighting, ventilation, plumbing, hot and cold water, and washrooms. These are rarely an immediate food-safety risk on their own, but persistent problems can lead to pest or sanitation issues.

Recorded once on June 18, 2026. For example: Improper Construction / Maintenance of Establishment

  • Permits, records and postingLower risk

Operating permits, required signage, written procedures and logs. These findings are administrative: the documentation was missing or out of date at the time of inspection.

Recorded once on June 18, 2026. For example: Food Safety Plan/Sanitation Plan

  • Other findingsLower risk

Findings that do not fit the categories above, such as follow-ups that confirm an earlier violation was corrected, or requirements specific to this type of facility.

Recorded once on June 18, 2026. For example: Operations and Maintenance/Other

    6 infractions

    • Critical Improper Cleaning, Sanitizing of Equipment and Utensils
      • 3-compartment sink was not equipped with sink plugs. This makes it impossible to conduct a ware washing submersion for the detergent and sanitizing step.
      • Staff purchased sink plugs during the time of inspection - as per directive by area EHO. Staff prepared a wash-rinse-sanitize set-up for the sink - and rewashed/sanitized implicated food equipment. * Ensure to properly prepare a ware washing set-up where food equipment can be fully submerged.
    • Critical Improper Cleaning, Sanitizing of Equipment and Utensils
      • No test strips were available onsite to validate the effective concentration for sanitizer. Staff mentioned that the concentration is usually prepared/tested at another food facility (Ukee Dogs).
      • Quats test strips were acquired from the other food premises. * Ensure that the strips are always stationed in the mobile and all staff know how to prepare the sanitizer solution.
    • Critical Improper Cleaning, Sanitizing of Equipment and Utensils
      • Spray surface sanitizer (quats) had no detectable concentration.
      • Staff purchased a measuring spoon (teaspoon) and refreshed the solution to register between 200-400ppm quats residuals. Ensure all staff know how to prepare the surface sanitizer solution.
    • Improper Construction / Maintenance of Establishment
      • Fine areas and food equipment exterior showed signed of accumulation/buildup.
      • Take the following actions: 1. Submit a revised sanitation plan to the area EHO to clarify the sanitation schedule and actions taken. 2. Wipe down and clean/sanitize the interior of cooler units, their exteriors, and floors. Maintain all food equipment in a condition where there's no significant debris accumulation.
    • Food Safety Plan/Sanitation Plan
      • Temperature logs are available but records from June 11 - onwards were not available.

    • Operations and Maintenance/Other
