- 09. Is the pool premises maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, good repair and are temperatures being properly regulated?
- The shower water temperature measured 45.3°C, which exceeds the acceptable maximum limit. Shower temperatures must be maintained between 35°C and 45°C to ensure effective hygiene and patron comfort. Temperatures above 45°C increase the risk of scalding. Post-mix valve showed 43°C.- Adjust the shower temperature to ensure it does not exceed 45°C (ideally below 40°C).
- 10. Are proper testing, monitoring, and other records being properly maintained?
- Pool logs were available; however, staff were recording incorrect information.Staff wrote that cya tested >30 (but meant < 30), and also that water clarity was 'cloudy or murky' when the water was clear. Staff must be properly trained to understand, interpret, and accurately record operational parameters to ensure safe and compliant pool operation.- Ensure staff receive adequate training on record keeping and pool operation procedures so they can correctly interpret and explain pool log records, and that managers are reviewing the records regularly.
