      • Operator is in the process of developing written procedures for post-service care for personal services that involve puncturing the skin or mucous membrane (including general, genital, and oral piercings).
    • 08. Is hand hygiene performed by the personal services worker when required, in a proper manner and are provisions available to perform hand hygiene?
      • Paper towel for the handwashing sink in the washroom is not stored in a dispenser or on a holder. Operator stated that a paper towel holder is available, but in belongings (as operator is in the process of moving from commercial facility to home-based facility).Corrective Action:Ensure the handwashing sink in the washroom is equipped with a sanitary option for drying hands (i.e. paper towel stored in a sanitary manner).
    • 22. If the facility sterilizes equipment, are all proper sterilization, verification, and documentation processes in place (Critical)?
      • Could not observe sterilization log at the time of inspection for equipment sterilized at previous facility as operator was in the process of moving documents, equipment, materials, etc. from commercial facility to home-based facility.Corrective Action:Please provide a copy of the most recent sterilization monitoring information (i.e. physical, chemical, and biological parameters).
