      • Observation: A remote inspection of this premises was conducted via the Operator providing a photo indicating the below Corrected Violation had been completed. An on-site inspection was not conducted by the Environmental Health Officer.
      • Corrective Action: N/A

    • 101 - Plans/construction/alterations not in accordance with the Regulation [s. 3; s. 4]
      • Observation: Light fixture in freezer was not adequately fastened to the ceiling.
      • Corrective Action: Ensure that light fixtures are not a falling or electrical hazard.
    • 209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
      • Observation: Wooden knife block was observed in the kitchen. Chipping paint was also observed on walk-in freezer roof. Public Health significance - wooden knife blocks are almost impossible to clean, and can lead to contamination of knives during storage. Chipped paint may fall into food and lead to physical contamination.
      • Corrective Action: Replace knife block with another storage method, such as a magnetic strip on the wall. Resurface or repaint ceiling of walk-in freezer.
