- Written procedures for skin cleansing were completed at the time of inspection for eyelash extension services.

- Eyelash extension tweezers (semi-critical equipment) was being treated with 91% isopropyl alcohol which is not an adequate type of disinfectant. Reuseable semi-critical equipment was not disinfected using a high-level disinfectant. A high-level disinfectant was not available.Obtain a high-level disinfectant. Ensure it has a medical device license (MDL) issued by Health Canada and labelled with the following words: sporicidal or high level disinfectant and TB, Tuberculocidal or Mycobacterium.

- Improperly labelled eyelash-related cosmetic products were discarded upon request at the time of inspection because of improper labelling.

- The bathroom sink was used to clean semi-critical tools (i.e. eyelash extension tweezers). This room contained a toilet.Install a reprocessing area containing a sink that is connected to a permanent supply of hot and cold potable water, with sufficient work surface area such as a countertop, shelf/table to adequately accommodate the placement of contaminated and cleaned reusable equipment. This sink cannot be used for food preparation or other incompatible undertakings and cannot be located in a room with a toilet.
