      • Observation(s): Random check of nutritional supplements/drinks (Boost) revealed that expired products were on the shelf and available for sale.
      • F2.4A - The operator must ensure that all food on the premises is protected from contamination.

      • Observation(s): Exposed raw wood was observed in the meat department. Ensure surface is repaired to ensure it is smooth, easily cleanable and impervious to moisture.
      • 14.3 - The premises must be properly constructed and maintained in good, clean and sanitary condition.
    • 15 - Are there handwashing stations available and properly supplied?
      • Observation(s): No liquid soap in a dispenser that is easily accessible to employees was noted at the sinks in the produce department. As discussed ensure sink is equipped with an easy to use liquid soap dispenser. Employee was noted using soap dispenser hoses for dishwashing which is inconvenient.
      • 15.2 - Handwashing station must be supplied with liquid soap in a dispenser.

    • 0.21 - Are the water treatment processes sufficient for the water source?
      • Observation(s): More information is required to make an assessment. Ensure to provide specifications of treatment device to Interior Health. This is to include a schematic of the water treatment unit, types of filters, type of UV bulbs and identification of any ancillary devices such as solenoid valves and back flow prevention devices. As well, identification of materials used for piping is required.
    • 9.4 - Is all food on the premises fit for human consumption?
      • Observation(s): One canister of expired baby formula was removed from the shelf at the time of inspection. No foods that are past their expiry date are permitted for sale to the public.
      • 1 Observation, High Severity of Consequences : All food stored, displayed, or offered for sale, must not be contaminated and must be fit for human consumption.
