    • F2.1 Does the facility have proper monitoring supplies?
      • Observation(s): • No test strips were available for chemicals used to sanitize. Operator must use chemical sanitizers that have test strips available which can prove the concentration of the sanitizer.
      • F2.1A Sanitizer test strips must be available for each chemical sanitizer used at the premises.
    • F2.3 Are food contact surfaces, utensils and equipment washed and sanitized in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?
      • Observation(s): • No sanitizer with appropriate DIN number was found at time of inspection. I will send info on sanitizers that can be used.
      • F2.3D Sanitizer solution must be available and kept at the correct levels for adequate sanitizing action.
    • F3.1 Does the operator have a valid operating permit or approval to operate?
      • Observation(s): • Operator must contact Penticton Health Protection office to have paper permit to post in tasting room if it cannot be found. Operator did have permit sticker and receipt but no actual permit was displayed.
      • F3.1A A valid permit to operate must be posted in a conspicuous location.
    • F3.4 Are written sanitation procedures (Sanitation Plan) current and available on site?
      • Observation(s): • Sanitation plan not available at time of inspection. I will send information and a template to follow to prepare this.
      • F3.4D Every operator of food premises, other than a food service establishment, where food is processed or prepared must have their written sanitation procedures approved by the health officer.
