      • -Baby Powder was observed in the Older Toddler Room. This could irritate children’s lungs. Please remove.

      • -The emergency exit door in the OSC Room opens directly into the parking lot. This could lead to a child exiting the room unannounced.

      • -Please ensure that sharp corners on storage shelves in the Infant Room have corner protectors.

      • -Staff in the Infant Room were observed not following diapering procedures. The staff member changing diapers did not wash the child’s hands and did not disinfect the diaper surface after use. Please ensure diapering procedures are always followed.

      • -A sensory bin with food was being stored next to the diapering sink/table. Please do not store anything that is not required for diapering on this countertop.

      • -Baseboards in the Pre-school Washroom were peeling off. Please repair.-The sealant behind the washroom sink was peeling off. Please redo.

      • -Alcohol wipes in the classroom first aid kits had expired. Please ensure that expired supplies are replaced.

      • -Wet cloths were left on surfaces throughout the facility. Please ensure that cloths are only used once and then placed in a dirty laundry bin.

      • -Cleaning checklists were wipeable and there was no way to verify that they are being regularly filled out. Please switch to paper or ensure that a picture record of checklists are kept.

      • -The table in the Infant Room had tape added to protect from sharp edges. The tape was leading to a build up of debris. Tape was removed at the time of inspection. If sharp edges are a concern you may need to purchase a new table.

      • -There was a fabric rocking horse in the Infant Room that cannot be cleaned. Please remove.-The couch in the Younger Toddler Room had a hole. Please remove or repair.-Floors in the Older Toddler Room and Pre-school Room were sticky and had a build up of debris from using tape and stickers on the floor. Please ensure the floor is smooth and easy to clean.

      • -There was sand in a bin in the OSC Room without a cover. Please ensure all sensory bins remain covered when not in use.

      • -One of the taps in the Pre-school Washroom was loose. Please secure.

      • -Toilet paper in the OSC washroom was not stored on the holder. Please ensure that it is stored in the holder.

      • WD-40 was stored in a cabinet under a handwashing sink, accessible to children. Ensure chemicals are secured/locked up or not accessible to children. Corrected onsite.

      • Bingo markers are labeled as toxic and/or to keep out of reach of children. Bingo markers must state they are non-toxic.

      • Doors weren't locked to the laundry room and janitor/chemical supply room. Ensure these doors are kept locked/inaccessible to children.

      • Wet/used cleaning cloths were out on surfaces when not in immediate use. Cleaning cloths must be discarded or put away for laundering after each use or stored in an approved sanitizer solution bucket in between uses.

      • Diapering mat in infant room is in disrepair and is no longer cleanable.Diapering mat in toddler room has tape on the top that is dirty as it is not cleanable.Repair/replace diapering mats. The mat in the infant room should be more snug/secure on the surface as it is currently loose.

      • Handwashing sink in the Kinder/OSC bathroom needs to be secured to the wall better and re-caulked.

      • Bedding was not stored properly in multiple rooms. Bedding must be stored in a manner where one kid's bedding/blankets doesn't touch another kids bedding. Blankets were stored on cots and were touching other cots.

      • -There was a green and purple chair in the Older Toddler Room that were worn out/torn. Please repair/remove these chairs.

      • -Climbers were being used inside the Older Toddler Room but there was no protective surfacing available. Please ensure protective surfacing is used under climbers when in use.
