    • All employees whose duties involve the supervision of tenants participate in continuing education to a minimum of five hours within each consecutive six months and are familiar with the Guidelines (Section 15).
      • Ensure employees obtain at least five hours of education every six months
      • Ensure the record of continuing education hours are signed by the operator and the employee
    • Operator has completed training to administer controlled substances prescribed on an "as needed"/PRN Basis (Section 40).
      • Complete medication training within thirty days from the prescription of the controlled substance.
    • Tenants are served daily sufficient food of good quality and adequate nutritional and caloric value (Section 41).
      • The operator shall participate in an annual menu planning session.
      • Keep menu on-file for at least one month after being served and provide to inspector.
    • Separate files are maintained for each tenant and complete as per the Guidelines. An alphabetical listing of current tenants is maintained (Section 49).
      • Maintain a separate file for each tenant which contains the information required in in Section 49 of the Guidelines.

    • All employees whose duties involve the supervision of tenants participate in continuing education to a minimum of five hours within each consecutive six months and are familiar with the Guidelines (Section 15).
      • Ensure employee received continuing education in a subject matter relating to care services such as nutrition, medication, contagious diseases, medical and mental health conditions, community resources etc.
      • Ensure employees obtain at least five hours of education every six months
      • Ensure the record of continuing education hours are signed by the operator and the employee
      • Provide new employees in-service training which includes Schedule 20 and the Guidelines
      • Record continuing education hours as completed on an ongoing basis
    • Individual tenant admitted with consent or with written consent in writing from the next of kin or attorney for personal care (Section 35).
      • Ensure consent is signed, dated and placed in tenant's file
    • Level of care services provided are adequate to meet the individual's needs in relation to daily living activities. The tenant was admitted appropriately (Section 33 & Section 34).
      • Complete all areas of the assessment for, including date and signature.
