- Sterility assurance documentation of single use pre-sterile equipment were not properly kept with client records in facility.Ensure the batch no. lot no. and expiry and other important information is recorded for all single use pre-sterile equipment with client records.
- 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
- 1-High level disinfectant CS20 bottle was noted passed its expiry date. Obtain a new bottle of high-level disinfectant.2-No high-level disinfectant daily testing records were properly maintained. High level disinfectant daily testing log was discussed onsite.
- 21. Is equipment that is intended to be sterile maintained sterile at the point of use?
- Presterilized single used microneedling cartridges were noted passed their expiry date 26-09-2022.The expired cartridges were opened and disposed off in the sharp container during inspection onsite.Ensure the cartridges have valid expiry date prior to offer microneedling services.
- 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
- Several cosmetic products ie chemical peels, Facial kits, were noted passed their expiry dates. All the expired products were dumped in the garbage bag and the garbage bag was dropped in the dumpster located outside the facility by operator during inspection.
