    • 07. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Non-Critical)?
      • The chemical controller pH reading 7.8 was not consistent with the manual readings from the whirlpool basin 7.39. The chemical controller was also going into alarm with the code O5. This code indicates that the safety timer is reached for chemical feeding. Contact a pool service technician to service the controller and ensure that it is working correctly. Setpoints for the chemical controller may need to be adjusted to maintain proper chemical values in range.
    • 14. Is the pool maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, good repair and are temperatures being properly regulated?
      • Scum/biofilm noted in the skimmer pot. Ensure that the area above the waterline is scrubbed and cleaned during the next whirlpool service.
    • 16. Are proper testing, monitoring, and other records being properly maintained?
      • Reagents for the pool test kit were expired. Staff were also using chemical test strips for routine water testing. Test strips are not permitted for water testing. Obtain updated reagents for the test kit and ensure it is in good working order.

      • Water levels were too low for proper skimming to be achieved. Pool operator adjusted water level so it was halfway up the whirlpool inlet. Please ensure water levels remain adequate for proper circulation.
    • 13. Are the general safety devices and physical conditions in this pool providing a safe environment (Non-Critical)?
      • Door was open to a cleaning storage area near the whirlpool. Operator closed door to ensure public did not have access to storage area.
    • 14. Is the pool maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, good repair and are temperatures being properly regulated?
      • Pool deck area shows an accumulation of debris and requires additional cleaning. Please maintain all surfaces in a clean condition.

      • Multiple return inlets in the whirlpool are missing the eyeball fittings and covers. Ensure that the return fittings are properly installed to properly direct and circulate water throughout the basin. Operator has contacted pool service provider to order replacement equipment.

      • The microbiological water sample submitted on 31 March 2025 was unsatisfactory: HPC >57000 CFU/mL. Take all necessary action to ensure microbiologically safe water. Submit a new microbiological water sample at your earliest convenience once the water chemistry is balanced.

      • Debris and buildup was noted on the underside of the skimmer pot and top opening. Clean the skimmer pot to ensure the debris and buildup does not enter the whirlpool water.

      • Daily chemical testing records were not completed or available to verify at time of inspection. Ensure daily chemical testing records are completed and made available for review as requested by the undersigned.
