      • The high level disinfectant test strips were observed to be expired. The high level disinfectant was not expired. Owner ordered the test strips during the inspection. In the interim, the owner was instructed to pour a new solution to ensure the solution meets the minimum effective concentration for disinfecting. Ensure that non-expired high level disinfectants test strips are available to confirm the minimum effective concentration for disinfecting semi-critical tools.

      • Records of verifying the high-level disinfectant minimum effective concentration is not maintained. Owner was educated on the importance of high-level disinfection records and was provided the Alberta Health Services high level disinfection monitoring log sheet. Ensure that the minimum effective disinfecting concentration for a high-level disinfectant is monitored and verified.

      • A brown bottle of oil lacked a label identifying its contents. Owner discarded the bottle and indicated a new bottle with a label will be obtained. Ensure that all cosmetic products used are clearly labeled identifying its contents.
