    • 30. Is the reprocessing area of a personal service facility that uses reusable equipment properly designed, managed and maintained to ensure the safety of clients?
      • Reusable semi-critical equipment was reprocessed in the main floor bathroom, which contains a toilet.Corrective Actions:- Relocate the reprocessing area into a suitable location, away from dining, food preparation areas, and not located in a room containing a toilet. The sink must also be supplied with a permanent supply of potable hot and cold water. There must be adequate space to allow for one way workflow to accept dirty equipment, and to dry and disinfect cleaned equipment.

    • 08. Is hand hygiene performed by the personal services worker when required, in a proper manner and are provisions available to perform hand hygiene?
      • Hand hygiene not observed, however reviewed procedures.Hand sanitizer in the travel case did have English and did not have a DIN or NPN issued by Health Canada.Liquid soap was not available in the travel bag. This soap is to be used in the event that the client's location does not have hand washing supplies.Corrective Actions:- Obtain a small bottle of soap to be placed in the transport bag.- If using hand sanitizer, ensure the bottle has an NPN or DIN issued by Health Canada, and contains between 60-90% alcohol.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Preempt CS20 was available for use on semi-critical equipment.A low or intermediate level disinfectants not available for use on equipment and surfaces. Corrective Action:- Please acquire and bring in the travel bag, a low or intermediate level disinfectant for use on equipment and surfaces. Recommend that wipes be used for ease of transport.
