      • Gap was noted below the back exit door.Replace the weatherstripping to seal the gap.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • Recurring violations cited on May 1, 2025:1. Debris build-up was noted along the walls in the kitchen.2. Debris build-up was noted along the walls around the racks in the back kitchen.3. Debris build-up was noted behind the ice machine and hard to reach areas in the facility.Thoroughly clean the indicate areas,Previous violation:Observed food debris collecting on floor edges in food handling area and dried stain marks on panel below sink stations. ACTION- clean floor areas more frequently to prevent spills and debris collecting. Ensure the panel below the sinks are cleaned daily **Inspection on November 19, 2024,1) Ice Capp liquid spill was observed under the racks in the walk-in cooler.2) Dirt and debris observed behind the ice machine.-Please clean the areas mentioned in 1) and 2).

    • 04. Does the operator use approved methods for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and surfaces?
      • One of the Quat sanitizing buckets at the front was measured at 100 ppm.A new solution was prepared by the operator and on testing, it was measured at 200 ppm.-Ensure that the Quat sanitizer is always measured at 200 ppm.
    • 10. Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?
      • 1)In one of the milk and cream dispenser, The milk on one side was measured at 7 C while on the other side the cream was measured at 8 C. -The facility thermometer was showing 36 degrees F but when the inspector placed the thermometer to check the internal temperature, the temperature was measured around 8 C. According to the staff, that milk and cream dispenser was not frequently used but was only used when it was busy.The operator removed the milk and cream from the dispenser.-Ensure that the milk and cream are maintained at 4C or less and please keep on monitoring the temperature.
    • 19. Does the facility have a valid permit and does the facility operate in compliance with the conditions of that permit, or is the facility awaiting approval prior to operation?
      • The food permit was displayed at the back.The operator placed the food permit at the front to display.-Ensure that the food permit is displayed in a conspicuous place where it is visible to the public.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • Observed food debris collecting on floor edges in food handling area and dried stain marks on panel below sink stations. ACTION- clean floor areas more frequently to prevent spills and debris collecting.     • 05. Do food handlers refrain from handling food while ill and have acceptable attire and hygiene?
      • Observed staff use of wiping cloth on foodservice counter and then proceed to apply another glove over the gloved hand to continue with food handling. ACTION- Train all staff on proper glove use. Single-use gloves are not to be reused between different tasks. Once task is completed or when soiled (ie. cleaning or handling cash), the gloves needs to be discarded and hands properly washed.
    • 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • Exterior storage room- boxes were stored on floor level. Ensure supplies and boxes are stored off the floor on shelving.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • A few flies were observed inside the food handling areas. Ensure drive thru window is closed between customer orders. August 31, 2023- observed drive thru window was not closed when no customer transaction occurring. ACTION- enforce fly control for drive thru window- keep window closed between uses and have air curtain turned on.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • Handles for storage cooler had dried food residue. Ensure staff wash hands before touching equipment handles.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • Observed food debris collecting on floor edges in food handling area and dried stain marks on panel below sink stations. ACTION- clean floor areas more frequently to prevent spills and debris collecting. Ensure the panel below the sinks are cleaned daily
