    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • The first aid kit does not have all of the necessary items and also has expired items. Restock the first aid kit as needed and discard the expired items.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. Wall are chipped in all areas; facility has a plan in place to refinish and repaint the areas by then end of July. Work will be done when children are not in the center.

      • Ensure that diapering procedures are followed by all staff; ensure that children's hands are washed properly after diapering as well as staff.Review the glove use policy with all staff especially reviewing when gloves should be changed i.e change of task is time to change gloves.

      • The first aid kit does not have all of the necessary items and also has expired items. Restock the first aid kit as needed and discard the expired items.
    • 11. Are parent provided foods being properly handled and stored to ensure the safety of clients in this social care facility?
      • Small fridges in the classroom do not have proper thermometers and the temperatures was 9C - fridge temps are being recorded well above the allowed temperature however no corrective action is taken; educate staff on what to do when temps exceed 4C. Temperature of fridges must be maintained at 4C or less.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. The seals around sinks require resealing.2. Ensure that all toilets have tank covers.3. Ensure that potty seats are cleaned and put away after each use.4. Do not store cleaning items in washroom areas which are accessible to children.5. Wall are chipped in all areas; facility has a plan in place to refinish and repaint the areas by then end of July. Work will be done when children are not in the center.

      • Paper towel was not in a suitable dispenser in preschool classroom in expansion. Also noted in main facility, but was corrected during inspection.

      • A number of sleeping mats are tearing from the corners.
