      • A copy of an advanced food safety certificate was not observed. An individual that has care and control of the facility/kitchen (Program Director and/or kitchen staff) requires an advanced food safety certificate. These are in the process of being completed.

      • Sanitizer spray bottle measured at 1000 ppm chlorine. 100ppm chlorine is required in the kitchen.
    • 10. Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?
      • Fridge was measuring at 7-8C. The fridge appeared to be set to 6C. The temperature was lowered to 4C during the inspection. Ensure the fridge is maintaining temperatures at or below 4C.

      • Probe thermometer was unable to be located. Ensure a probe thermometer is available and is being used to confirm temperatures of cooked foods.

      • Chlorine test strips expired in 2020 and appear to not be used. Please purchase new chlorine test strips and ensure they can measure from 0-1000 ppm chlorine.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • Handwashing sink appeared to have no hot water.Handwashing sink faucet is not secure to the base.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Pest control records were not observed. Monthly pest control records are required. If a pest control company isn't hired, the AHS Pest Control checklist must be filled out monthly.
    • 20. Do food handlers at the facility have adequate food safety training?
      • A copy of an advanced food safety certificate was not observed. An individual that has care and control of the facility/kitchen (Program Director and/or kitchen staff) requires an advanced food safety certificate. All staff in the facility have the basic food course.
