- 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
- During the inspection a Ziplock bag containing portions of unlabeled meat was found in the freezer in the kitchen. Please ensure portioned meat is labelled with name of meat and the best before date on the original packaging.
- 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
- 1. The baseboard tile near the dishwasher had been removed and moved to the side. Please repair this. Please ensure that all surfaces are smooth, cleanable, durable and easily wipeable. 2. The doorway floor strip was broken and/or missing completely in some places. Please repair or replace and ensure all finshes are in good repair.
- 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
- 1. The kitchen vent above the stove is dirty with visible accumulation of dust. Please ensure this is maintained in a clean state at all times. 2. The microwave handle was sticky and needs to be cleaned. The microwave's front had tape/tape residue that prevents adequate cleaning from happening.Please remove tape residue and clean and maintain the microwave in a sanitary condition. 3.The saranwrap dispenser had a visible accumulation or organic items on either side where one would naturally grab it. Please ensure this area is maintained in a clean and sanitary state at all times. 4. The manufacture's wrap was still present on the dishwasher that had been installed 2 months ago. This surface is not adequately cleanable, please remove all the wrapping from the dishwasher. Please ensure that all surfaces are non-porous, durable and easily wipeable.

- A rusty circular apple slicer was found in the clean utensil drawer during the inspection. The operator discarded it into the trash in front of the inspectors. Please repair or discard any utensils that become rusted.
