- 1. Facility was using alcohol as a disinfectant for reusable nail tools. No high-level disinfectant was available on site. High-level disinfectant must be used for all semi-critical tools. Obtain high-level disinfectant as soon as possible. 2. Facility was using pH test strips to test high-level disinfectant. pH test strips are not appropriate for high-level disinfectants. Obtain proper test strips from manufacturer of high-level disinfectant.
