      • Container of barbicide with combs was only half full. Please ensure entire combs are immersed in solution (corrected).

      • It appeared single-use applicator brushes were being reused as there were contaminated applicator brushes stored in a drawer. One brush was contaminated with dark dye, while the other brush had hair on it. Please do not reuse single-use items. Items were discarded by site manager.
    • 17. Is reusable equipment cleaned properly (Critical)?
      • Bottle of PREempt cs20 had expired in July 2025. Please replace. Do not provide manicures or waxing services until new bottle is provided.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this personal services facility (Critical)?
      • An unmarked/unlabeled pump dispenser was stored at the nail station. Solution inside was unknown. Please label the container to indicate its contents.

      • There was an accumulation of hair inside drawers. Please clean.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this personal services facility (Critical)?
      • The lid of a container of alcohol disinfectant wipes was open and the wipes inside had dried out. Please obtain new container or provide disinfectant solution.
    • 33. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this personal services facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Many brushes were contaminated with hair. Please clean after each use.

      • A high-level disinfectant was not available in the salon for disinfecting the nail clippers. Nail clippers were being sprayed with Clippercide. Clippercide is not a high-level disinfectant.-Please obtain a high-level disinfectant for disinfecting the nail clippers.

      • A disinfectant was not available for disinfecting surfaces in the salon.-Asked the site to provide disinfectant wipes for disinfecting surfaces in the salon. During a GI outbreak, the disinfectant wipes must be effective against the target organism.

      • 1. The Preempt CS20 used to disinfect semi-critical manicure tools was expired (expired June 6, 2023).-Obtain new high-level disinfectant for disinfecting manicure tools. Monitor expiry dates on all disinfectants used.2. There was some hair build up on the electric clippers that were stored in one drawer.-Please ensure that electric clippers are cleaned and disinfected after each client.
