      • Cleaned and dirty tools were observed being stored together in the makeup station cabinet. Multiple reusable items, including scissors and tweezers, were found to be dirty. A lash brush containing multiple hairs was also stored with tools that were claimed to be clean.In the waxing room, multiple dirty reusable tools were observed stored in a glass container alongside items that were claimed to be clean.Ensure all tools used for makeup, waxing, and other services are properly cleaned and sanitized after each use. Clean and dirty tools must be clearly separated and stored in designated containers or areas to prevent cross-contamination. Only properly cleaned and sanitized tools should be stored with other clean items.

      • The porous client service table cover in the waxing room was not clean at the time of inspection. Multiple hairs were observed adhered to the cover and staining was present on the lower end.Ensure the table cover is laundered after each client use. Alternatively, replace it with a non-porous, easily cleanable cover that can be cleaned and disinfected after each use to prevent contamination and maintain hygienic conditions.

      • Multiple hairbrushes on the barbering stations were observed to be dirty, with visible hair accumulation on them.Ensure hairbrushes are cleaned after each use to remove hair and debris. After cleaning, disinfect the brushes using at least a low-level disinfectant or by spraying them with 70% alcohol.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Expired PREempt RTU wipes were being used for surface decontamination at the time of inspection.Following discussion with the operator, the expired wipes were immediately discarded and removed from use.Ensure that all disinfectants, wipes and other chemical products are used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, including adherence to expiry dates. Regularly monitor and remove expired products from service to ensure effective cleaning and disinfection practices.

      • Few chemical spray bottles were observed to be unlabeled. Unlabeled containers increase the risk of accidental misuse and may result in inappropriate products being applied to clients or used for unintended purposes.Ensure all chemical spray bottles are clearly and accurately labeled with their contents. Labels must be maintained at all times to prevent accidental misuse and to ensure staff can readily identify the products being used on clients.

      • Preempt RTU was used to disinfect reusable semi-critical equipment such as diamond tips for microdermabrasion.-Please procure and use high-level disinfectant such as preempt HLD5 or CS20.Also, procure suitable test strips for monitoring the high-level disinfectant's concentration if it is to be reused for more than one day otherwise discard spent solution daily.

      • Operating manuals for lPL laser machine or microdermabrasion were not available/accessible onsite.-Please provide manufacturer's instruction/operating manuals for the indicated equipment and other equipment that emit energy or puncture the skin.
