      • There were unlabeled cosmetic products in various areas. Label all items/bottles/containers etc. with its contents throughout the facility and ensure original/bulk-supply containers are kept on-site.

      • Written procedures for cleansing skin were completed for the following services: -manicure-pedicureThe sink in the waxing room is used for reprocessing tools and for hand hygiene. Written procedures for sink decontamination were completed at the time of inspection.Written procedures for accidental skin cuts or punctures was provided at the time of inspection.

      • Written procedures for skin cleansing is required for waxing services. Purchase suitable skin cleanser(s) for waxing services.
    • 10. Is cleansing and antisepsis of skin and mucous membrane performed in accordance to written procedures and are suitable products being used?
      • Purchase a skin cleaner(s) for waxing services.
    • 13. Is single-use or uncleanable equipment being used as intended (Critical)?
      • Numerous nail files/buffers observed at the manicure tables were in a used condition. These items are single-use and must be discarded after each use.Re-iterated the requirement to discard single-use equipment such as foam/cardboard nail files, buffing blocks, toe separators, cardboard covers for rotary nail drill bits etc. Please advise all staff.

      • High-level disinfectant was expired. Purchase a high-level disinfectant (i.e. PreEmpt CS20 or HLD5).Proper high-level disinfectant indicator test strips are not available. Purchase proper indicator test strips. If using PreEmpt CS20, buy AHP7 indicator test strips. If using PreEmpt HLD5, buy AHP2 indicator test strips.High-level disinfectant logs are not being kept. Templates were left on-site.
