- Observation(s): At the time of inspection an employee was observed touching their face then began food preparation without washing their hands between as required.
- 5.1 - Employees must wash their hands as often as necessary to prevent the contamination of food.
- 5.2 - Employees must exhibit cleanliness and good personal hygiene.
- 8 - Are equipment, food contact surfaces and utensils washed, sanitized and stored in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?
- Observation(s): Employee indicated that vinegar is used as a 'sanitizer' for food contact surfaces and counters/tables in customer area. Vinegar is not an approved sanitizer. Common options for sanitizer solutions include 100 ppm chlorine solution and 200 ppm QUATs solution.
- 8.7 - Equipment, utensils and food contact surfaces must be cleaned and sanitized in a manner that removes contamination.

- Observation(s): Food Safety Plan was unable to be located at the time of inspection. Ensure food safety plan is on site at all times and all staff are aware of its location and the practices contained within. Please also submit a copy for review to Interior Health.
- 17.1 - Operator must have on site a written food safety management procedure that includes all potentially hazardous foods.
- 18 - Are the sanitation procedures (Sanitation Plan) current and available on site?
- Observation(s): No sanitation plan was available on site as required. Please submit a copy to Interior Health for review and review plan with staff to ensure proper sanitation practices are being followed.

- Observation(s): Liquor bottles were found inside the ice bin, in the ice used to serve to customers intended for consumption. Liquor bottles could be contaminated from placing on counters and could contaminate the ice. DISCONTINUE THIS PRACTICE IMMEDIATELY.
