      • The chlorine test strips available were expired. Replace with valid test strips to accurately verify sanitizer concentrations.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • -The hand soap pump at the hand sink was faulty, and staff were opening the container to pour soap directly. Provide a functional soap dispenser to allow proper handwashing.-Paper towels were placed directly on the hand sink in the staff washroom as there was no dispenser. Paper towels must be stored in a dispenser to prevent contamination.
    • 19. Does the facility have a valid permit and does the facility operate in compliance with the conditions of that permit, or is the facility awaiting approval prior to operation?
      • The Food Handling Permit displayed was expired. Ensure the current valid permit is posted.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • -Single-use disposable containers were observed stored inside the bulk bins and used to dispense product. Appropriate scoops with handles must be used to prevent contamination.-Ice cream scoop was stored in water measured at 34 °C. Scoops must be stored in a manner that prevents contamination and kept outside the temperature danger zone, such as in a continuous-flow dipper well or at temperatures below 4 °C or above 60 °C.
