Bitter Baker, Sweet and Savoury

I had a birthday cake made for my boyfriend’s birthday and it was the most delicious cake we’ve ever had. And it was so beautiful. Black Forest style with a black current mousse layer and white and dark chocolate, decorated with chocolate covered cherries. With organic ingredients!! He loved it. Also tried the butter tarts, raspberry date square, and lemon square. Those were amazing too!

Ready to go, gluten free sandwiches - tried both a veggie and a cranberry turkey. Amazing. Also tried a cherry chocolate almond scone - so good. Good gluten free options are often so hard to find in smaller towns and could have cried when I found Bitter Sweet & Savoury.

I was in Trail for an appointment today and walked in here randomly looking for a coffee, I walked out with a loaf of the best gluten free bread I've ever had in my life and also the best brownie. The person I talked to was such a lovely woman. Stoked, if you're gluten free and in Trail - go here, buy a treat and a loaf of bread.

Sausage Roll, Focaccia Bread, Sourdough, all pretty good. Would hit the Focaccia hard though, that one's legendary. Best bakery in Trail, yo.

I ordered a gluten free cake for my wife's birthday this past Saturday. Natalie did a fabulous job. The cake was absolutely delicious and it was decorated elegantly and to perfection. My wife said it was the nicest birthday cake she's ever had. It is completely obvious that Natalie takes pride in her work. The bread and everything else is the best as well. Sorry I didn't take pictures to share. Thank you again Gerald

I have a good friend who brings me gluten free bread from the Bitter Baker. It's delicious and filling.

The person that served me was generally rude and the food was not great beyond its looks. It is also incredibly expensive, I do not recommend.

Ordered a special cake for our anniversary ..outstanding service going the extra for us..and exquisite cake…along with some of best bread I’ve had anywhere..there is technique and skill to baking that’s all too often missed ..but not here- excellence that stands anywhere..
