- F1.2 Are proper temperature controls maintained to ensure safe storage and display of foods?
- Observation(s): • NEW INFRACTION: The food temperature, and the inside ambient temperature, of the cabinet freezer beneath the customer microwave was 15° C (59° F) at the time of this inspection. The frozen products were thawed out. As the food and inside air temperatures of the freezer were the same,this indicates that the freezer unit was not operating properly for sometime. Staff should have noticed this issue at routine temperature checks of the coolers and freezers. All foods in this freezer unit were discarded. Foods are not to be stored in this freezer until repaired and properly maintaining a temperature of -18° C (0° F) or colder. • NOTE: Thawed frozen foods discarded: 2 x 2Kg cases of Beef Taco & Cheese Taquitos, 3 x 2 Kg cases of Cooked Glazed Chicken & Monterey jack Cheese Taquitos.

- Observation(s): • NEW INFRACTION: The sanitizer and detergent dispensers are not working properly at the triple sinks in the rear kitchen area. No sanitizer or detergent was being dispensed. Have the dispensers repaired right away. Until dispensers are repaired staff must mix the proper sanitizer concentrations by hand, following the manufacturers label directions. • NOTE: Staff were still filling the sanitizer spray bottles etc. from the improperly operating sanitizer dispenser, resulting in no sanitizer being properly used on food contact surfaces. Fill sanitizer bottles by hand following manufacturers label directions until the sanitizer dispenser is repaired.

- Observation(s): • The sanitizer used for ware washing and for surfaces in food prep areas is not being dispensed at an adequate concentration from any of the chemical dispensers. At the time of inspection the sanitizer concentration being dispensed was was 0 - 100 ppm. The sanitizer must be maintained at 200 ppm. • Staff report that due to the sanitizer dispensers not working properly staff are mixing the sanitizer by hand, however, all spray bottle tested showed an inadequate concentration of sanitizer (0 - 100 ppm). Instruct all staff on how to properly mix and test the sanitizer, and how often to change the sanitizer in the spray bottles. • The sanitizer/chemical dispensers must be repaired, or replaced, immediately. This has been an ongoing issue in this facility., and as such, it is strongly recommended that the dispensers be replaced. • Sanitizer must be maintained at proper concentrations at all times.

- Observation(s): a) The quats sanitizer (FS Supermarket Sanitizer) was being dispensed from the chemical dispenser at a concentration of 500 ppm +. If "FS Supermarket Sanitizer" is used to sanitize items coming into contact with food this sanitizer must be used at a concentration no greater than 195 ppm (as per label directions); a concentration higher than 195 ppm requires the food contact item to be water rinsed prior to use. Have the chemical dispenser adjusted to dispense the correct concentration. Until corrected all food contact items must be rinsed. Correct by January 11, 2019.

I had a really frustrating experience at this 7-Eleven. I stopped in specifically to use the washroom, only to be told I couldn’t because they “don’t give out the key.” There was no clear explanation, and the staff didn’t seem interested in helping or offering any alternative. It’s honestly ridiculous for a convenience store to deny basic access like that, especially when you’re a paying customer. The lack of consideration and poor customer service really stood out. I won’t be coming back to this location, and I’d recommend others think twice if they expect even basic amenities.

Take my advice, dont eat here unless its your last resort. Sadly for merritt, this is the only option sometimes. After i saw what happened with a cashier and another customer tonight i will not shopping here unless it is my absolute last resort. I want to give this location at least a 3 because of how much they have improved and how nice some of the workers are but the rude cashiers that they have ruined it

Went to cash in my scratch and wins and the cashier ( his first name is Mohit) tried to tell me i won 11 dollars had thrown out my tickets which had won in total 31 dollars plus 1 free ticket. Make sure you check your tickets yourself before reedeeming your lottery tickets at this location. It has been reported to BCLC

The lady who was working the night shift on June 19th is probably one off thee rudest women ive ever met in my life. I do not think you should be working at 711 if you cannot deal with people, she got very close and in my personal space. She then proceeded to yell at me because i grabbed taquitos that i did not know were not ready yet. She did not need to be so rude. This is alos not the fiest time shw neen rude to me and my friends.
