- Bags containing powdered drink mix and utensils were observed to be stored underneath the eyewash sink on the coffee/tea self-serve station. **Food items and utensils must be stored in a manner that protects them from contamination.
- 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
- Mouse droppings were observed under the handwashing sink located at the front of the store. Recent pest control records indicate presence of pest activity.**Safely clean the mouse droppings by soaking them in a bleach solution before cleaning them using paper towels and wearing appropriate PPE. Do not vacuum/dry clean the droppings.-Continue to monitor for pests and ensure to follow the recommendations of your pest control operator.
- 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
- The plumbing in the following areas is in disrepair with leaks observed during the inspection:1. Below the eyewash sink on the coffee/tea self-serve station. 2. Below the big gulp pop machine.**Please have the plumbing repaired.
- 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
- Staff indicated that utensils used for portioning and serving of high-risk foods such as tongs and pizza cutters are being changed out once daily.**Ensure these utensils are replaced or washed and sanitized at least once every 4 hours
- 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
- An accumulation of food debris/spills/dirt/grease was observed with regards to the following areas.1. The floor underneath the coffee and tea service area.2. The floor below the shelves and cooking equipment in the front service area. 3. The floor the below the pop dispensers.**Have these areas cleaned and increase the overall frequency of cleaning for these areas.

- There were only 2 drain plugs for the 3-compartment sink. 3 drain plugs are needed to wash dishes using the 3-compartment sink method.Please obtain a third drain plug.
- 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
- The handwash sink located in the chicken processing kitchen was clogged and slowly draining.Please repair the handwash sink to ensure it is adequately draining.
- 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
- A bowl was observed sitting on top of the prep sink faucet located in the chicken processing kitchen. This is not a sanitary location to store clean dishes.The operator promptly removed the bowl from the area and placed it in the dish pit.

- The Food Handling Permit was displayed; however, it was expired. Thus, the permit displayed was not valid. To ensure that the facility is operating with a valid permit at all times, please ensure to have a valid permit displayed in a conspicuous location in the facility easily seen by the patrons/customers. If a Food Handling Permit is needed, please contact [email protected] immediately.**DISPLAY A VALID FOOD HANDLING PERMIT IN A CONSPICUOUS LOCATION IN THE FACILITY.
