      • Required written procedures were not available for skin cleansing.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • A new bottle of Preempt CS20 has been purchased (exp March 31, 2025).Test strips were not acquired. Facility plans to fill and dump each day the disinfectant is used since the operator claims there is an average of 2 clients a week for pedicure/manicure services.A follow-up inspection will be necessary to confirm compliance.
    • 30. Is the reprocessing area of a personal service facility that uses reusable equipment properly designed, managed and maintained to ensure the safety of clients?
      • Operator agreed to relocate the reprocessing area to the massage room with a permanently plumbed sink. This area may only be used for equipment reprocessing.A follow-up inspection will be needed to confirm compliance with this requirement.

      • Disinfectants were expired:- MicroKleen 3 expired March 2021.- Preempt CS20 expired May 2021.Test strips were not used to verify efficacy of high level disinfectant.Please ensure:- A new, non-expired high level disinfectant is acquired, as well as the corresponding test strips to measure and document efficacy.- A new, non-expired intermediate level disinfectant is acquired.

      • Reprocessing area was located in the bathroom.Please relocate the reprocessing area to an area without a toilet, and separate from incompatible activities.
