    • F2.2 Are proper pest control measures in place on the premises?
      • Observation(s): Some mouse droppings were noted in one corner of the concession - Please clean and disinfect underneath equipment, along walls/corners. Please ensure that exterior door seals are tight fitting to prevent the entry of pests - note that gaps could be observed on the entry door bottom seal. Please replace/repair this bottom door seal and ensure correct/professional installation.
    • F2.5 Are the premises and equipment properly maintained and operated in a sanitary manner (i.e. ongoing maintenance)?
      • Observation(s): Please repair the broken sandwich style refrigeration unit that is located opposite the kitchen grill/oven.
    • F2.7 Are there handwashing stations available and properly supplied?
      • Observation(s): Please install liquid soap and paper towel dispensers on the wall in behind the hand washing sink.

      • Observation(s): Please ensure that test strips are provided for verification of chlorine sanitizer solutions, ensure that thermometers are provided inside all refrigeration units and maintain daily temperature verification logs for refrigerators and hot holding.

      • Observation(s): Please ensure that exterior door seals are tight fitting to prevent the entry of pests - note that gaps could be observed in the entry door bottom seal.
    • F2.5 Are the premises and equipment properly maintained and operated in a sanitary manner (i.e. ongoing maintenance)?
      • Observation(s): As discussed at the time of inspection, please completed additional cleaning underneath/behind equipment, remove unused/broken refrigerators (ensure adequate refrigeration and back-up for storage of PHF) and repair/resurface worn areas of the kitchen floor.
    • F2.7 Are there handwashing stations available and properly supplied?
      • Observation(s): Please install liquid soap and paper towel dispensers on the wall in behind the hand washing sink.
    • F3.3 Are written food handling procedures (Food Safety Plan) current and available on site?
      • Observation(s): Please ensure that a food safety plan is maintained onsite and available for review at the time of an inspection. Please email a copy to Interior Health for review.
    • F3.4 Are written sanitation procedures (Sanitation Plan) current and available on site?
      • Observation(s): Please ensure that a sanitation plan is maintained onsite and available for review at the time of an inspection. Please email a copy to Interior Health for review.

    • F2.1 Does the facility have proper monitoring supplies?
    • F2.5 Are the premises and equipment properly maintained and operated in a sanitary manner (i.e. ongoing maintenance)?
      • Observation(s): It is noted that the commercial dishwasher is not being used/still not working (this is a carryover item from the time of last inspection where it was noted that the dishwasher was not functioning properly). As identified by operator at the time of site visit, only pre-cooked meats (pre-cooked burger patties and hot dogs) are being used in conjunction with a limited menu at the present time. It is also noted that the concession operates with only take away menu items with no reusable dishware.
    • F2.7 Are there handwashing stations available and properly supplied?
      • Observation(s): Facility is missing a dedicated hand washing sink and was constructed with only one faucet located at a 2-compartment sink. Please note that a dedicated hand sink is a minimum requirement for commercial kitchens/food service establishments (separate from dishwashing or food preparation sinks and to be available at all times for hand washing only).

    • F2.1 Does the facility have proper monitoring supplies?
      • Observation(s): One fridge requires a thermometer
    • F2.5 Are the premises and equipment properly maintained and operated in a sanitary manner (i.e. ongoing maintenance)?
      • Observation(s): Dishwasher leaks when it is running. Two of the fridges are maintaining higher than 4 degrees Celsius. Sandwich cooler is not turned on, unable to assess whether it can maintain 4 degrees Celsius or lower. Storage of props etc currently in the concession
      • F2.5E Equipment or materials not required for food related operations must be removed from the premises.
    • F2.7 Are there handwashing stations available and properly supplied?
      • F2.7B Handwashing station must be supplied with liquid soap in a dispenser.
      • F2.7C Handwashing station must be supplied with single-service product for drying hands.

    • 4 - Are proper refrigeration, freezing and thawing procedures followed?
      • Observation(s): Prep table cooler temperature measured at 10°.C. Please ensure that this refrigerator is serviced and that refrigeration temperatures are maintained at ≤4°C. Please do not store potentially hazardous food within this cooler until confirmation that ≤4°C is being maintained.
    • 14 - Are the premises, equipment and utensils designed and maintained to ensure safe and sanitary food handling?
      • Observation(s): As discussed, please replace old wooden cutting boards with ones that are smooth, cleanable, impervious by June 2, 2015. Please also provide shatterproof covers on fluorescent lights by Nov 25, 2015.
    • 17 - Are written food handling procedures (Food Safety Plan) current and available on site?
      • Observation(s): Please complete a food safety plan for the Apple Bowl Concession, including practices for thawing, refrigeration temperatures, final cook temperatures, hot holding temperatures, etc. Recommend initiating temperature monitoring records for refrigerators and hot holding units.

    First time here..loved that it was grass Field. Multi sport facility with adjoining fields and parks There is not a lot of seating, but enough for daily events Looks well taken care of..again,grass Field looked very good condition

    Great facility in the heart of Kelowna. Home of the Okanagan sun for all their home football games and practices . This venue host all kinds of athletic events. Today we were able to enjoy our niece race in the Jack brow annual track meet . Lots of parking facilities .

    Always amazed at how well manicured they keep the grass. At a Track and Field event with a tone of kids today my issue is a few of the porta potty facilities were padlocked shut?? Seemed odd. The ones that were open were out of hand sanitizer.

    Seating is good, all seats are under cover in the grandstand. Beer and wine available. Hamburgers, hotdogs, pizza, nachos sold as well. A bouncy castle is set up for kids. The sound system is good. Very enjoyable experience.

    Generally available for public use on most weekends. Great for track running and walking, stairs, etc. A playground workout area adjacent to the facility as well as fields, tennis courts etc.

    Looking for a sports stadium I guess there no other place instead of apple bowl where you will find ground for every sport and the timings of the park are also good and comfortable for people.

    This is a great place to veiw games and outdoor track and field events. The odd time it has needed a fresh coat of paint over the years but for anyone in competitive sports,the Apple Bowl is well known to them.

    Great track open to public, if you go on Sundays the side gate is closed , but there is one open around by the washrooms!

    Very nice well maintained facility, great for running laps or for more vigorous activity running the stairs. Open pretty early, usually around 5:00 am.

    Good park. Well maintained. Make sure to visit before 6:00 in the fall/ winter months because the stadium lights will not turn on and it will be dark.
