- Please submit photos of relevant written procedure templates:- Cleansing skin- Applying antiseptic- Post-service care- Accidental skin cuts or punctures
- 10. Is cleansing and antisepsis of skin and mucous membrane performed in accordance to written procedures and are suitable products being used?
- The facility does not have an appropriate antiseptic. Alcohol prep pads were available, but they did not have an NPN or DIN on the package. Please purchase an appropriate antiseptic labeled with an NPN or a DIN on the packaging.
- 12. Are personal services workers at the facility maintaining client records and where applicable, sterility documentation corresponding to that client?
- Facility was not recording microchannel needles lot numbers/sterility verification with client records. Lot numbers for needles must be recorded with each client form. These records must be retained for two years.
- 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
- Isopropyl alcohol was being used to disinfect some non-critical equipment such as the machine for microchanneling. Education provided and operator will be using Cavicide wipes for non-critical disinfection moving forward.
