      • -Chemicals were stored accessible to children on the back of the accessible washroom toilet. Please store secured or above children's reach.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • -The wall in front of the handwashing sink in the accessible washroom was shoeing evidence of water damage. There was dark staining and the base of the wall was in poor repair. Please remove all water damaged areas, clean staining and ensure the unfinished wood is sealed to prevent further water damage.

    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • Push pins were observed on walls in all rooms. These are not recommended in childcare facilities as they may fall out and pose a hazard. Please remove them from children’s areas and use safer alternatives such as tape, sticky tack, or Velcro. If staples are used, they should be covered with tape.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • The handwashing sink on the right in the Toddler 1 room was not producing water. Please ensure it is repaired. Please ensure the hand sink used for diapering is not used to fill bottles; bottles are to be filled in the kitchen pending repair of the second sink.

    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • -There were cubbies at the front of the facility that were not secured to the wall. Please ensure they are secured.
    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • -There were loose staples on the wall in the Rainbow Room. The use of push pins and staples are not recommended in child care facilities. Please consider removing all push pins and staples and switching to alternatives such as: tape, sticky tac, Velcro etc. If staples are to be used they should be covered with tape.
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • -The diaper pad in the Tweeters Room was torn. It was removed at the time of inspection.-The diaper mat in the Prancing Ponies Room was stored on the floor. Please ensure it is stored out of children’s reach and cleaned and disinfected after each use.

    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • CDI-There was an unlabeled Chlorine bottle in the Pre-school Room. It was labelled at the time of inspection
    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • CDI-Chemicals in the kitchen were not stored secured and/or out of children’s reach. They were moved to a locked cupboard at the time of inspection.CDI – Bingo dabbers with a label stating “keep out of reach of children” were observed in the Toddler Room. They were removed at the time of inspection.
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • -At the time of inspection non-diapering related items were stored around the diaper sink. Please ensure the diaper sink and surrounding counter is used for diapering purposes only. -A staff member was observed changing diapers at the time of inspection. The staff member did not wash the child’s hands and picked up another child before washing their own hands. -There was a diaper mat being stored on the floor in the Pre-school Room. If diapering is going to be done on the washroom floor please ensure that the mat is stored out of the reach of children and cleaned and disinfected on both sides after each use. The mat was moved out of the washroom at the time of inspection*Please ensure that proper diapering protocols are followed

      • CDI – There was a wet cloth left on the counter in the Pre-school Room. It was placed in a dirty laundry bin at the time of inspection. Please ensure that cloths are put in the laundry bin immediately after each use.
