    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • High level disinfectant (CS20) had been diluted with water. Do not dilute CS20. Follow manufacturer's instructions for use. The diluted solution was discarded during the inspection.
    • 29. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained to allow for the safe and sanitary provision of personal services (Non-Critical)?
      • There was no baseboard on wall behind pedicure chairs and beside reprocessing sink. Install baseboard.

    • 13. Is single-use or uncleanable equipment being used as intended (Critical)?
      • Nail files and buffing blocks in pouches with clean tools were not in good condition and appeared to be used. Files and buffing blocks are not cleanable and must be discarded after use. Staff member began discarding damaged files and buffing blocks during the inspection.
    • 15. Is reusable equipment handled and stored properly (Critical)?
      • Tweezers in waxing room appeared clean but were in container labeled as dirty. Staff were unclear on system for separating dirty vs. clean equipment. Ensure two containers are available and appropriately labeled and used to prevent cross contamination between dirty and clean equipment.

      • Bottle of high-level disinfectant (CS20) that staff showed was used to fill soaking tray was expired. This was discarded during the inspection. Another bottle was available that was not expired. Monitor expiration dates and do not use CS20 past expiration date.

      • 1. Baseboard to the left of reprocessing sink is loose. Repair so that area is easy to clean. August 18, 2026 - Baseboard had been reattached but was still water damaged. There was no baseboard along rest of wall behind pedicure chairs. Install baseboard.
    • 30. Is the reprocessing area of a personal service facility that uses reusable equipment properly designed, managed and maintained to ensure the safety of clients?
      • Facility was serving drinks out of reusable glasses and washing them at reprocessing sink. Facility does not have appropriate dishwashing sinks for reusable customer glasses. Only complimentary low risk drinks dispensed from their original containers can be offered. Must be served in single use cups.

      • 1. Baseboard to the left of reprocessing sink is loose. Repair so that area is easy to clean. 2. Tile backsplash behind handwashing sink in main area is coming off wall. Repair to ensure area is smooth, non-porous and easy to clean.3. A wooden board was used on back storage self as solid surface. The wood was unfinished. Replace with non-absorbent material or paint the wood so it is non-porous and easy to clean.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this personal services facility (Critical)?
      • A spray bottle containing soap and water was labelled as Lysol. This was corrected during the inspection. Ensure all cleaning bottles are correctly labeled to prevent misuse.
