    • 13. Is single-use or uncleanable equipment being used as intended (Critical)?
      • Pedicure toe separators were being cleaned and reused. Toe separators are single-use items and because they are porous, they cannot be adequately cleaned and disinfected. Dispose of all used toe separators and provide new only. Discard after each client.Waxing sticks, eyelash and eyebrow tinting and extension tools, nail sanding bits are disposable.

      • Record sheet for high-level disinfectant was kept up to date until January 27, 2024, but there are no dates after that indicating the solution has been verified with a test strip. More than 14 days is recorded on one log sheet. A new log sheet must be started for each time the solution is poured new and a new pour is required at no more than 14 calendar days of reuse (when verified as a pass with test strips).
    • 29. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained to allow for the safe and sanitary provision of personal services (Non-Critical)?
      • The bed in the waxing room is in disrepair. The seam is splitting and exposing foam under vinyl surface. Repair the table or provide a full cover that wraps around the bed and is laundered after each client.
