    • F1.7 Are foods protected from contamination?
      • Observation(s): Observed a bin of lettuce on a low lying moveable card up against a bin of raw ground beef also on a moveable low lying cart. The location of these carts also prevents ease of access to the back shelving and would require staff to step over these bins to access food on adjacent shelves. Please ensure that raw animal proteins are stores below and adequately separated from ready to eat food inside refrigerators and, discontinue use of the small moveable carts, and ensure that food is stored on shelving units 6" off of the floor. Additional refrigeration should be considered where food storage in the walk-in refrigerator cannot be maintained on shelving units.
    • F2.1 Does the facility have proper monitoring supplies?
      • Observation(s): Chlorine and quaternary ammonia test strips onsite were either expired (2024) or no longer usable (previously wetted). Please obtain new test strips and ensure that the bar glasswasher and food contact surface sanitizer are tested at least daily. Please ensure that thermometers are provided inside all refrigeration units and that a probe thermometer is used to confirm final cook temperatures and the temperature of food stored in upper prep table inserts. Please record temperatures on daily temperature log sheets.
    • F2.5 Are the premises and equipment properly maintained and operated in a sanitary manner (i.e. ongoing maintenance)?
      • Observation(s): New flooring installed in the bar area was partially completed. The flooring was not extended underneath some bar equipment (ie. ice machine, ice storage bin), missing toe kick and a loose floor tile at the transition into the bar area. Please properly complete the bar floor to ensure that the floor surface and transition areas are durable, tight fitting, impervious, smooth and do not include poorly constructed areas that are difficult to clean. Please also ensure that any floor to wall junctions are tight fitting and cleanable (ie. include a baseboard like a rubberized base). An organic build-up of was observed on floor tiles in the main restaurant, including tiles leading to the back bathrooms. The walk-in refrigerator was observed in an unsanitary condition, including the back floors, back wall, shelving units. Please complete a thorough cleaning of areas where there is a noted decline in facility sanitation and ensure routine cleaning of neglected areas going forward.
    • F3.2 Is the premises construction and layout unchanged and in accordance with approved plans?
      • Observation(s): Please provide a properly sized food preparation sink, separate from a dedicated hand washing sink and separate from ware-washing sinks within the Baxter's Pub kitchen - note that this is a facility with 50seats or greater with significant ware-washing requirements (ie. separate sink for food preparation from the dish-pit).

    • F2.5 Are the premises and equipment properly maintained and operated in a sanitary manner (i.e. ongoing maintenance)?
      • Observation(s): Onsite follow up to confirm completion of planned renovations, including replacement/reconstruction of worn flooring and shelving in the bar and, installation of hand washing sinks in the kitchen and server area per previously provided renovation plans. Owner stated that this work will be completed and confirmation provided to interior health via emailed photos/documentation on Sunday May 10th, 2026.
    • F3.2 Is the premises construction and layout unchanged and in accordance with approved plans?
      • Observation(s): Onsite follow up to confirm completion of planned renovations, including replacement/reconstruction of worn flooring and shelving in the bar and, installation of hand washing sinks in the kitchen and server area per previously provided renovation plans.     Conrad and his staff go above and beyond to make you feel like family. Today was my dad's 80th birthday and Conrad had the whole pub sing him Happy Birthday and gave the best table beer! Good pubs have service, food and atmosphere. Great pins make you feel like family. Baxter's is a GREAT pub.

    We had a great time at the Super Bowl party yesterday! New big screens TVs were a bonus!! I won a door prize which was a new barbeque and I’m so appreciative for that!!! Staff, food and atmosphere was awesome. Thank you so much !!Will be back again.

    Amazing food and service! Came here on my 22nd birthday and was faced with the 22 second chug challenge, a very good “parksesh” IPA and it tasted amazing!!! Amazing burgers and deep fried pickles and staff! Would come here again and again!

    Came here for a steak sandwich. Food was fantastic. They had a steak and prawns on special. Ended up also having a blast. Really fun upbeat atmosphere. The bartender included the entire bar in celebrating a patrons Birthday

    On a whim, I stopped by this very welcoming Bar and grill a couple weeks back and tried 2 pints of Sleamans on Draft which went down real smooth. I wasnt intending to eat but upon observation of the bar food being avidly consumed around me, I listened to my delightfully attentive waitress KATIE, and I ordered the Beef Dip with Ceaser Salad. I was not disappointed and will be returning for more this week.

    My dad and I have been going here for years now and never have we been disappointed . It’s a usual Wednesday thing we attend to and the staff here have treated us like gold . They have been making a lot of great improvements that genuinely have been getting better and better !! Starting from attempting to add more seating , moving some things around , and even honouring their long time regulars . It’s great to see a business that thinks so dearly about their usual clientele. We always recommend this place to our friends whenever we’re all trying to go out for some drinks , prices are awesome and they make some killer wings !! Always tons of fun , and a great atmosphere .

    Been my regular watering hole for years and there has always been an excellent neighbourhood pub vibe with friendly staff and excellent prices. Recent addition of Karaoke event (every 2nd Saturday) added another fun event to attend. Looking forward to the changes and renovations ongoing. Thanks and good luck to the new owner and staff.
