- F2.3 Are food contact surfaces, utensils and equipment washed and sanitized in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?
- Observation(s): Facility is using an approved surface sanitizer (200ppm QUAT) made by the facility managers for food contact surfaces, but using a vinegar-water solution on equipment (e.g. tubing/hose) used for packaging the product. Operators were told that the vinegar/water solution may be used as a cleaner, but informed that they should be using an approved sanitizer on the equipment for pathogen removal to which they agreed to implement. Corrected during the inspection.
