      • Personal services notification has not been submitted.

      • Written procedures are not available for client care and skin cleansing.

      • Some pedicure foot files appeared visibly dirty. Clean all the pedicure foot files before disinfection.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Barbicide and a dry heat sterilizer without proper testing was used to disinfect semi-critical tools. Semi-critical must be disinfected using, at a minimum, a high-level disinfectant, or sterilized with proper testing completed. The operator obtained a new high level disinfectant and its appropriate test strips immediately (PreEmpt CS20). Disinfection procedures were discussed.As the sterilization procedure had no testing completed, all tools and equipment must be cleaned and disinfected prior to use.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • A few squeeze bottles in the pedicure area were observed to not be labelled. Label all squeeze bottles and cosmetic products.
