    • 17. Is reusable equipment cleaned properly (Critical)?
      • There was hair on the facial massage tool stored in a sterilization pouch.Clean and disinfect the massage tool.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • 1) Alcohol pads and a cooling massage solution with 50% alcohol were being used as disinfectants for brow scissors. These products did not have a DIN (drug identification number).Use a low-level disinfectant at minimum. Ensure the product has a DIN and labeled with the word "disinfectant".2) The electric skin scrubber (blackhead scraper) was disinfected with an intermediate level disinfectant. Use a high-level disinfectant for reusable semi-critical equipment that can touch non-intact skin or mucous membranes.3) Linen slippers were cleaned only after each client.Remove linen slippers that cannot be disinfected. Disposable or reusable slippers that are washable and non-absorbent to moisture can be offered to clients. Reusable slippers must be cleaned and disinfected after each client.

      • Vitamin C Softening Toner had a label that was mostly written in a foreign language. The ingredient list or the instructions for use cannot be interpreted by the operator or regulatory health agency.Use cosmetic products with labels that can be interpreted. Ensure that cosmetic products do not contain prohibited ingredients as per Cosmetic Ingredient Hotlist and follow the instructions for use.
