Have you been here??? What a wonderful little gem of a store. This bakery has everything imaginable. All the breads, all the cakes and pies and pastries. As a London fog connoisseur, I can tell you theirs is top-notch. The deli is beautifully presented, clean and has a wide variety of meats and cheeses. The menu for breakfast and lunch is hearty and delicious, ranging from the age old staple of bacon and eggs to eggs Benedict and quiche. Lunch menu has a variety of homemade sandwiches, and poutine plus a daily soup. Ive been here for 5 years and haven't ventured in simply because I don't eat gluten. What a shame! I should have been coming to Big Al's all along. Al himself is a super friendly fellow and we engaged in a wonderful conversation about our lovely okanagan weather. Hats off Big Al's. We now have a new favourite store to visit for a quick and delicious breakfast or lunch, or just a London Fog Five Stars all the way!

We’ve been coming up to the Oliver / Osoyoos area for several years but only discovered Big Al’s this year. We were staying at an AirBnB in Oliver and needed some dessert and some breakfast options for the next few days. For desserts we chose some bright yellow Lemon Tarts which looked amazing and tasted even better! They were delicious! Spoke to the big man himself, he was really great as were the rest of the staff! For breakfast we went with Cheese Scrumpets, which I guess is a combination of a crumpet and a scone. They were great heated up with some melted butter in the morning. They were the perfect way to start the day! They have lots of amazing baked goods and meal options you can take home and warm up. We’ll have to come back to try some of their dine in food as it all looked really good! Put that on the list for our next trip up here.

100% a must stop on any road trip through the area. No matter when I go their food is amazing. All their products are crafted with care and attention to detail. I have ordered cakes from his team a few times. No matter the project I gave they got it done and surprised me with the craftsmanship. Now I must say that their fritters are the way to go when you don’t know what you want. Even if you aren’t sure if you want a fritter I promise you will eat it and crave more. I have yet to find a product made here that I don’t like. My families mouth waters every time we drive by. Don’t matter if you need a hearty meal, a light snack, some delicious sliced meats or just some bread. This place has it all. Priced just right for a private bakery this place will make your friends and family to come back. If you’re lucky enough to be in when Al is he will always share a smile and a friendly word. The staff here make you feel like you’re walking into grandmas house. I promise, if you drive by you are doing yourself a disservice. Even if you don’t need it you will definitely want it.

This is the place to get fresh bread and buns! The Cornish pasty wasn’t great (dry) - It was too rich in the pastry, kind of like dried beef stew inside of a pastry. The spinach/feta quiche (good size portion) was OK - felt like something was missing for a bit more flavour - - maybe bacon? The hot cross buns are outstanding! Fresh and full of flavour. You can purchase 6 or a 12 in a bag - so a very nice choice. Location in Oliver is very good. Be prepared to stand in line to order or pay as this bakery is definitely in demand!

Very clean! Very friendly! and Very delicious! The food was great! Had the bacon and eggs with juice and bottled water with hashbrowns. Total came to 35$ as I took out a friend who ordered same, but probably don't need the hashbrowns as they are an add on and big, comes with 2(Very greasy so if you're hung over get them!). Awesome store and worth the stop! I bought cinnamon buns for the family, haven't tried them yet but can say if they taste anything like they smell, they'll be amazing!

Big Al's is a bakery/restaurant on the main Street of Oliver. We ordered scrambled eggs and toast and ate on the small outside patio. The was brought to our table and came quickly. The whole wheat toast was excellent and we would order it again. The eggs were quite overcooked. The breakfast also came with nice sliced tomatoes. We will come back but ask that the eggs not be so overcooked. The baking in the store looks good and is reasonably priced.

Great selection of items here. We really enjoyed the eclairs and the cream puffs. The ladies were super friendly at the counter

Nice people, good bakery selection for a small place. We got 2 doughnuts for $5.57. Small! Maple filled tasted old yet she pulled it from the back, jelly filled was barely filled and the filling you couldn’t even tell the flavour it just tasted like gelatin or cornstarch- a thickener. Disappointed.
