      • Invalid test strips were noted on the disinfectant log that was provided in the photo sent from the operator.Please ensure that appropriate test strips are available for CS 20 disinfectant.

    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Preempt RTU and Cavicide was observed to be used to disinfect semi-critical equipment such as tweezers used for lash services. High-level disinfectant was not observed to be available at the time of inspection.Please ensure that a high-level disinfectant is acquired and used to disinfect equipment that comes into contact with mucous membrane or non-intact skin, but is not intended to puncture either of them. High-level disinfectants will be labelled with the words "sporicidal" or "high-level disinfectant". Please be sure to also follow the requirements for high-level disinfectants as per the manufacturer's instructions for use, as well as, the Personal Services Standards. These requirements may include, but are not limited to: reuse periods, testing, and the retention of testing records.
    • 31. Are sinks accessible and used appropriately for the personal services provided?
      • A sink in the common area was observed to have tweezers in the basin. A technician was then observed to be washing/rinsing their hands in the same sink that the tweezers were in. Please ensure that equipment reprocessing is kept separate from incompatible activities.
