- 1. Tweezers used for eyelash extensions are disinfected with Isopropyl Alcohol.1. Tweezers for eyelash extensions are semi-critical equipment. Ensure to use a high-level disinfectant for the reprocessing of semi-critical equipment.Before reprocessing with a high-level disinfectant:-Verify concentration with a test strip.-Maintain records of test date, results, date disinfectant was changed, initials of the worker who performed activity. Steps for reprocessing semi-critical equipment with a high-level disinfectant:-Clean equipment to remove soil.-Rinse to dislodge soil and detergent.- Air dry.-Inspect for cleanliness.-Immerse equipment in high-level disinfectant, ensure no bubble are present. -Follow manufacturer's instructions for contact time, reuse periods, and rinsing requirements. -Store the equipment in a manner that prevents potential contamination. A high-level disinfectant log template, information on disinfectants, and a copy of the Personal Services Standard will be sent via email with the report.
