      • A toy was noted on the diapering table in Toddler 2. The operator removed the toy during the inspection. The operator was further advised not to use diapering table for storage purposes.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • General organizing is required at multiple cabinets in all rooms. Please clean and organize areas mentioned during the inspection.
    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • One of hand washing sinks located in the OSC washroom water temperature was noted to be at 15 degrees C. Please increase the water temperature and ensure it maintained between 35 - 49 degrees C.
    • 24. Are sleeping supplies and areas sufficient to ensure client safety and comfort (Non-Critical)?
      • It was noted that staff members were carrying all blankets together (without a barrier) from pre-kinder to toddler for sleeping. These blankets were in physical contact with each other. These blankets were moved to laundry during the inspection. The operator was further advised to carry blankets properly to protect them from contamination.

      • 1. Clients' personal items were in physical contact with other clients. All client personal items were moved during the inspection. The operator was further advised to ensure that client's personal items are stored properly.2. Daycare related items were noted to be stored in the OSC washroom. Please remove all items from washroom including clothing and paper towel.
    • 29. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Non-Critical)?
      • The middle toilet bowl in the OSC washroom was not in operational state. Please repair this toilet bowl.

    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • 1. Staff members were not washing hands after diapering. Clients' hands were also not being washed after diapering.Importance of hand washing was discussed during the inspection. Please wash hands. 2. Gloves were noted to be stored on diapering station. These were removed during the inspection. Please do not use diapering pad for storage.3. Diapering sink was being used to store craft items in younger toddler room. 4. In older infant room, staff members were not using designated diapering room to perform hand washing after diapering. Please note that designated diapering sink must only be used for hand washing purposes after diapering. Please do not use these sinks for any other purposes. Please do not use non diapering sink for diapering purposes. These were corrected during the inspection.

      • It was noted that facility was not following proper toy washing procedures.Proper toy washing procedure was discussed during the inspection. Please ensure to wash, rinse and disinfect toys. Please educate staff members.

      • 1. Bite marks were noted on foam toys. These were discarded during the inspection. 2. Mouth toy bins were not observed. All rooms were equipped with mouth toy bins during the inspection.
