Inspection summary
Brynn's Bakery has been inspected 5 times by Interior Health Authority since May 2, 2022. The most recent inspection, on August 12, 2026, found no infractions.
1 of 5 inspections on record found no infractions at all. In the past 12 months there was 1 inspection with 0 infractions recorded. The higher-risk findings here relate to: Pests, Cleaning and sanitizing and Food temperature control.
Recent inspections have recorded fewer infractions than earlier ones, so the record is improving.
What these findings mean
Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.
PestsHigher risk
Signs of mice, rats, cockroaches or flies, or gaps and clutter that let them get in or hide. Pests carry bacteria and can contaminate food and surfaces, so evidence of activity is treated seriously and usually triggers a follow-up visit.
Recorded 3 times across 3 separate inspections, most recently on September 4, 2025. For example:
2 Are proper pest control measures in place on the premises?
Cleaning and sanitizingHigher risk
Anything that touches food, such as cutting boards, dishes and utensils, must be washed, rinsed and sanitized. Inspectors check dishwasher temperatures, sanitizer strength and how wiping cloths are stored. Poor sanitizing lets bacteria survive from one use to the next.
Recorded once on July 17, 2024. For example:
3 Are food contact surfaces, utensils and equipment washed and sanitized in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?
Food temperature controlHigher risk
Bacteria multiply fastest between about 4 °C and 60 °C (40 °F to 140 °F). Inspectors check that cold food stays cold, hot food stays hot, cooked food is cooled quickly, and that staff have accurate thermometers. Temperature problems are one of the most common causes of food poisoning, so these are treated as critical findings.
Recorded once on May 2, 2022. For example:
2 Are proper temperature controls maintained to ensure safe storage and display of foods?
Permits, records and postingLower risk
Operating permits, required signage, written procedures and logs. These findings are administrative: the documentation was missing or out of date at the time of inspection.
Recorded 3 times across 2 separate inspections, most recently on July 17, 2024. For example:
3 Are written food handling procedures (Food Safety Plan) current and available on site?
Other findingsLower risk
Findings that do not fit the categories above, such as follow-ups that confirm an earlier violation was corrected, or requirements specific to this type of facility.
Recorded once on June 7, 2023. For example:
1 Does the facility have proper monitoring supplies?

We passing through town and Kamloops was our halfway point. Needed a coffee and a pastry to recharge. I had the pecan croissant, it was lovely. I usually an almond croissant connoisseur. This was worth it. Also the garlic and herb scone, was buttery with lots of herbs but not over powering. Solid crumble but not heavy. Mom got a muffing, can’t remember which one, she liked it too. The service of the two ladies in there was bright and friendly. We came while they were about to close, they were kind enough to let us pick up something and grab a seat while they prepped to close. Very kind of them. Good staff and service here. Jade and Claire Ssanks! Will come back whenever passing through. Highly recommend. Good coffee too.

We ordered a London Fog cake, it was a great price and one of the best cakes we have had. Our guests loved the cake with several positive comments. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Will order again!

I stopped into this charming bakery while visiting Kamloops. I purchased a brownie, date square, mushroom roll, ginger cookie & a chocolate chip cookie. All the items were really delicious. However, of special note is the mushroom roll. The exterior was crisp & buttery with a wonderful flakey texture. The filling was fantastic, with a deep flavour & good texture. I am not a big pastry fan, but I love mushrooms & thought I would give it a try. I am glad I did, as it was excellent.

Best spot in town ❤️ we get fresh pizza dough and pesto every Friday for an AMAZING pizza night, and the sourdough and treats never disappoint!

Ordered the vanilla raspberry cake for my son’s birthday. The flavour was alright, but the cake was heavy, there were hardly any raspberries, and the cream cheese icing didn’t taste much like cream cheese. For 60 bucks I expected a better product. Lesson learned

Cute little place in the heart of downtown. I went for a walk one afternoon and stopped in to get an afternoon treat. I got the Mushroom roll. I really liked the outside shell of the mushroom roll. It was buttery with a fine flakey texture. Think of a sausage roll's exterior but so much nicer. The filling was quite surprising! The texture felt meaty with an even textural mouth feel. At first bite, the mushroom flavours were first to come say hello. About halfway through that mushroom flavour began to fade into background and the texture of the shell came forward instead. The earthy mushrooms were complimented with flavours of salt and soft sesame. Although lovely flavours, I was expecting more from the filling of the roll. Perhaps thyme and black pepper or oregano and lemon zest would be a good match for the mushrooms?

My favourite spot in town for sticky buns! Sticky buns, sourdough, cookies, cake... it's all amazing. Staff are consistently efficient and super friendly. The space is clean and adheres to COVID guidelines. There's a few indoor seats and some outside too. Get here earlier because they often sell out of some of their more popular items (for good reason!). Would highly recommend, and just gotta say that living walking distance from this spot is dangerous for my wallet (and weight 😂).

Absolutely, positively amazing product. The sourdough is one of the best I've ever had. The peanut butter and the crystallized ginger cookies were two.of the best I've ever had. Worth every single penny spent. Well done!!
