Inspection summary

Campio Brewing has been inspected 6 times by Alberta Health Services (Environmental Public Health) since February 28, 2025. The most recent inspection, on August 17, 2026, recorded 2 infractions.

5 of 6 inspections on record found no infractions at all. In the past 12 months there were 3 inspections with 2 infractions recorded. All recorded findings relate to upkeep, equipment or paperwork rather than direct food-handling risks.

The number of infractions per inspection has stayed roughly the same over time.

What these findings mean

Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.

  • Food safety training and certificationLower risk

Most jurisdictions require a certified food handler or manager on site, and some require allergen or food-worker training. These findings mean the paperwork or the trained person was missing at the time. They do not by themselves mean food was handled unsafely.

Recorded once on August 17, 2026. For example: Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?

  • Building, plumbing and upkeepLower risk

Floors, walls and ceilings must be smooth and clean, with working lighting, ventilation, plumbing, hot and cold water, and washrooms. These are rarely an immediate food-safety risk on their own, but persistent problems can lead to pest or sanitation issues.

Recorded once on August 17, 2026. For example: Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?

    2 infractions

    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • Yes (corrected during inspection) - there was a lack of paper towel supplies at two hand-wash sinks, at front bar area, and in main kitchen side area (adjacent to dishwashing area). All staff are to ensure hand-wash sinks are accessible, functional, and well supplied at all times, with hot and cold running water under pressure, and available supplies of liquid soap and paper towels. This was corrected at time of inspection.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • Yes (corrected during inspection) - there was more thorough floor cleaning required under the counters and shelving in the dishwashing area, adjacent ice machine, and adjacent refrigeration units in the side area of the main kitchen (as there was accumulation of water/moisture, food spillage, and bits of litter). Staff are to ensure the regular cleaning schedule is followed daily/weekly/monthly, with floor cleaning as often as necessary.
