- F2.1 Does the facility have proper monitoring supplies?
- Observation(s): Both the Dippin' Dots freezer and the glass top display ice cream freezer are missing internal thermometers, which are necessary for accurately monitoring the temperature of potentially hazardous foods. Ensure thermometers are provided for these units by February 3, 2025.
- F2.1B A thermometer accurate within 1 °C must be available to monitor processes.
- F2.2 Are proper pest control measures in place on the premises?
- Observation(s): Observed gaps in the weather strip at the back receiving door. Weather stripping or other physical barriers are necessary at all entrances to prevent against the entry of pests, which may carry pathogenic organisms that can contaminate food and food contact surfaces. Please repair or replace the weather strip and send a photo to the EHO once complete.

- F1.2 Are proper temperature controls maintained to ensure safe storage and display of foods?
- Observation(s): A 250mL container of creamer intended for coffee was measured at 12C in a display shelf intended for pre-packaged individual serving sized creamers. Potentially hazardous foods with temperatures above 4C allows for the growth of organisms that can cause spoilage or illness. The operator was directed to discard the product, which was disposed of immediately. Recommended using the display fridge with mechanical refrigeration beside this service area to store this type of container while regular individual serving size creamers were unavailable.
- F1.2B Potentially hazardous foods must be stored or displayed at a temperature of 4 °C (40 °F) or colder.
- F1.7 Are foods protected from contamination?
- Observation(s): In the walk-in fridge, food products (bottled water and pop) were observed stacked in front of a shelf that contained closed boxes of raw chicken. Storage of raw meat beside/above ready-to-eat products, such as pop and bottled water, may lead to an increased risk of contamination of those products with illness-causing organisms. Required that the shelf in question, and space in front of it, would be dedicated to the chicken only and other food product were moved further into the walk-in fridge so as to ensure raw meats are kept separate from ready to eat products. Operator moved the ready-to-eat products during the inspection and stated they will talk with delivery drivers and staff about proper storage practices.
