    • F1.1 Are proper cooking procedures followed?
      • Observation(s): Final cook temperature measurements for burger patties were observed at less than 74deg.C/≥165deg.C; note that ≥165deg.C is specified in the DQ food safety plan. Direct temperature measurements using a probe style thermometer were taken by both Operator and myself at the time of site visit. Conveyor oven temperature was increased at the time of inspection.
    • F2.5 Are the premises and equipment properly maintained and operated in a sanitary manner (i.e. ongoing maintenance)?
      • Observation(s): Observed build-up of food debris/organics under/behind some equipment and effects in kitchen and storage areas.
    • F3.1 Does the operator have a valid operating permit or approval to operate?
      • Observation(s): An application from new owners at the Pier Mac Way Dairy Queen has not been received by Interior Health and accordingly, an Operating Permit has not yet been issued to the new owner. Manager at the time of inspection indicated that new owner has been in place for >1year.
